What Is a Heat Pump?
A heat pump is a high-efficiency system that heats and cools by taking energy from air, water or ground. For every 1 kW of electricity consumed, it produces 3-5 kW of heating or cooling energy.
While air-source heat pumps stand out with ease of installation and cost advantage, water-source systems offer more stable and higher efficiency. Both systems can heat and cool.
